The Good, The Ugly, and The Ugly

I want to end this on a bright spot, kind of, so I'll start off with the two uglies, yesterdays two games. Daniel Cabrera showed us the usual, terrible control, wild pitches and hit batters, perfect. Roy Haladay owns the Orioles, but our bat can still be considered "hot."

It is frustrating that games 100 and 101 of the season, where, with the Jays being on a very off year, we could make a run at .500 again, we end up blowing it. Has anybody seen the Orioles do that before?

Well it doesn't get much easier than last series because tonight we welcome the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, the team with the best record in baseball. But here is some good we can take out of it...sorry I was trying really hard to come up with something.

Now to the good, nay, GREAT. Last night I got the chance to see "The Dark Night." I don't really know how to describe the movie, this is the best I could do. It is the type of movie teenagers LOVE, the 20 year old crowd adores, and it makes the older generation want to become a superhero again. Yes, even the famous DPA would want to throw on some armour and run around at night. (PLEASE DPA NO TIGHTS!!!) You know my HOYA scale that I rank movies on, 1-5 Hoyas, well this one gets a 10. Heath Ledger, RIP, does an unbelievable job as the joker, and "The Dark Night" just bunny hopped "Rudy" "300" and "Tommy Boy" as my #1 favorite movie of all time.

Tonight 7:05 Sounders vs. Buress, please grab a win, please? LETS GO O'S!!

  1. i would like to comment about the state of baseball and in particular the divisional setup. I think baseball is making an incredible mistake with the divisional play. I can only hope that Arizona wins the NL West with a losing record, then goes onto win the World Series. That way perhaps, the powers to be will see how unfair and wrong the setup is currently.

I know I am a purist when it comes to baseball, but I would prefer to see each team play the other the same amount so that at the end of a 162 game season, you clearly have the best teams playing.

    Currently, this is a travesty.
