Long Weekend

Hello and sorry for the three days without a post. So much has happened over the weekend, but I am going to try and keep this as short as possible.

Yesterdays loss makes the Sunday losing streak to 15 games, I don't know about any of you but I am not looking into this one bit. Mostly because in my eyes finishing the season with a .500 record is not the objective. It is to develop our younger players and I believe we have succeeded in that arena.

We split the series with the Tigers, with some fantastic finishes, and the big bat of Luke Scott. If anybody caught the Saturday night game, it looked like we should still be playing as the throw from Adam Jones in the top of the 10th was a little late. But fortunately the ump made the call and stuck to it, and we ended up winning on the walk off. I have also decided that Luke Scott showed the sports world how to cross the plate after a walk off, slide!

In Redskin news, Sunday the Redskins acquired Jason Taylor from the Miami Dolphins. It was an unfortunate situation that brought him to the Skins, but, to tell you the truth, I couldn't be happier. Will this be the year the Redskins make a push to go deep in the playoffs, who knows, ITS BASEBALL SEASON.

Tonight we open a 3 game series against the Blue Jays, Rodhames Liz will take the mound for the birds, looking to go deep in the game to give the 'pen some rest. LETS GO O'S!
