A semi-successful road trip, coming home for nine games after a 4-3 road trip isn't all that bad, especially when there is the 50 millionth fan coming into Camden Yards in the next three days.
How about that Oriole offense, Melvin Mora has been on a tear and he had 6RBI's yesterday, ridiculous. And the team has just been flat out scoring runs in their last 4 games, there average runs per game is 10.75, how are you supposed to loose games like that? Pitching, wasn't expecting such an easy answer hu? Well, when 3 or 4 out of 5 pitchers have outings, more often than not, like Garet Olson's yesterday, 1 2/3 with 5 ER, it makes it tough. Thankfully the Orioles have Jeremy Guthrie on the mound tonight, trying for his career best 5 wins in a row.
Guthrie has been lights out in his last 11 outings, going 7-1 with a 2.51 ERA, and even more dominant as the season wears on, going 4-0 with a 1.23 ERA in his last four starts. He is matched up against youngster Jon Lester, whose last start was good enough for a win going 7 1/3 and giving up 3 earned runs. Hopefully the O's offense will challenge him and Guthrie will swamp the Sox offense. Yet again, LET'S GO O'S!!

To think you wanted to get rid of Mora just a few short weeks ago. I think you owe your readers of the blog an apology. And, no comment on the fact that they signed their number one draft pick? Shame on you. Falling down on the job. On a side note, the Nats did not sign their number one pick. Sorry Mr. Fuccillo, looks like the stadium will continue to be the only draw in DC.
